Handmade jar mended of many fragments and restored. It was found in 1965 in a well on the Acropolis west slope, close to the Beulé gate.

Its base is flat and the body’s profile convex, whereas the wide neck becomes narrower at the top. Three projections-handles around the body are pierced through so that the pot could have been suspended with the help of cord or rope. The exterior surface is burnished and covered in red paint. Various parts of the body, rim and one handle are intensely burnt.

It was used for storing, transporting or serving solids or liquids.
